“I am pleased to share that Sierra Foothill Charter School has hired a new Principal/Superintendent,” announced Board Chair Angelina Brouillette in a letter to SFCS families. “We are thrilled to welcome Mindy Bolar to our staff and know that she will be an exceptional leader for our school.”
Ms. Bolar comes to SFCS from Pleasanton, CA, where she served as Director of Curriculum. She has worked in the field of education for twenty-six years, serving in several roles:
· Classroom Teacher,
· Mentor Teacher/Instructional Coach,
· Coordinator of Staff Development/New Teacher Program,
· Assistant Principal,
· Principal, and
· Director of Educational Services.
Ms. Bolar taught a multi-age, multi-level classroom for five years early in her career. Her classroom served as a model that led to the development of a magnet school for inquiry-based, individualized instrution. Her training and experience in that role shaped her educational philosophy and her passion for equitable, effective instructional programs that address the development of the whole child.

She is excited to join SFCS and looks forward to meeting the staff, students, and families. She is eager to support the continued success of SFCS as the new Superintendent/Principal.
Ms. Bolar’s first day on campus will by July 11, 2016. The SFCS board and staff invite the community to join them in welcoming Mindy Bolar to Sierra Foothill Charter School and Mariposa County.
