Per CAL FIRE - #ForkFire [update] E of North Fork (Madera Co) is 38 acres & 40% contained. Evacs to be lifted at approx. 12pm today




The following information concerning the Fork Fire in Eastern Madera County is from the Madera County Sheriff Department during the later evening hours yesterday.

Due to ‪#‎ForkFire‬ Road 225 will remain closed through the night. Cascadel and Douglas Ranger Station Road areas will remain under evacuation orders throughout the night. Sheriff's personnel will be in the area overnight providing security, anyone found to be loitering in the closed area without legitimate business will be arrested. Off duty Sheriff's Deputies and local area mutual aid resources have been called in to provide high visibility patrol and pro-active enforcement

Update:
The ‪#‎ForkFire‬ evacuation order has been LIFTED for Wakova Ln, Road 230, De Na Ln, Tu Nobi Way, Poy Ah Now Road. Cascadel and Douglas Ranger Station Areas remain under Evacuation Order. Road 225 Remains closed. Use caution as there is a large amount of fire equipment in the area.

Info from Cal-Fire's PIO re ‪#‎ForkFire‬:

The Fork Fire is currently at 30 acres, forward progress has been stopped. There have been about 200 evacuations in Cascadel Woods and the South Fork area. Two structures, two travel trailers, multiple outbuildings and vehicles have been destroyed. 22 engines, 6 tankers, 3 helicopters, 1 air attack, and 9 crews are on scene. An evacuation center has been established at the YLP Community Church.
