Sierra Foothill Charter School held its Back to School Night on Thursday, August 25, 2016. Students, their families, and the community were greeted with an Ice Cream Social put on by fifth through eighth graders to raise funds for a three day, two night trip to Yosemite this Fall. They were greeted with remarks by Principal/Superintendent Mindy Bolar, visited classrooms and heard presentations about what to expect this school year, and had an opportunity to try out and rent instruments for the music program. It was standing room only in the multipurpose room and a very successful event.

Amanda Ehler, Rosie Neogy, and Vera Smerber were part of the full house listening to opening remarks in the multipurpose room.
Principal/Superintendent Mindy Bolar introduced staff, thanked key players, reminded families of ways to get involved, and shared some goals for the school year. She also shared great news about gains in SFCS's CAASPP (state testing) scores, especially in English Language Arts. Scores were just released on August 24, 2016.
