The 18th Mountain Heritage Days takes place on September 19 and 20 at Fresno Flats Historic Park, with tasty food and a Golden Chain Melodrama in the Gazebo. Look over the Silent Auction and the Vendors in the Park for unique items and auction bargains.
At 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 20 the best parade in Eastern Madera County marches down School Road with live bands, floats, horses, antique cars and trucks and entries from service organizations and public service corps. It's a Community parade and all are invited to attend. The Park will be alive with Mountain Heritage Days crowds enjoying tours of the Museum, crafts for the children, pioneer life demonstrations like the blacksmith, quilting, spinners and, woodcarving demonstrations are fun to watch.
A good lunch provided by Kiwanis will be available. At 4:00 p.m. a wine party takes place in the garden with live music before the Community Barbeque of ribs and salmon at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are available from any Fresno Flats member and in in the Park. A surprise raffle will occur during dinner. Come to Fresno Flats on September 19-20 and enjoy mountain life with friends while relaxing in the park and being entertained by delicious food and enjoying the easy pace of life 100 years ago.
