The Catheys Valley Fall Festival was held on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Catheys Valley Park. This wonderful community event provided a very fun way for children to celebrate Halloween and the community to get together and enjoy each others' company. Activities included a costume contest; games, many new and updated by the fifth and sixth grade class at SFCS; a bounce house sponsored by Yosemite Ziplines and Adventure Ranch; a Cake Walk; silent auction supporting a school trip to Yosemite; many local vendors; a Petting Farm provided by Dolce Vita Ranch; a "Thriller" flash mob dance; the Blacksmith shop open for guests to view; Cal Fire there giving fire truck tours; informational booths from 4-H and Girl Scouts; SCOPE providing ID cards for children; delicious food and drink donated and prepared by the June Bug Cafe at the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort; a Haunted School House presented by the seventh and eighth grade class at SFCS as part of the Service Learning program; horse rides provided by Mike Conley and family; and a good time provided by all who showed up and joined in.
