I am sad to announce that the Coulterville Community Club will NOT be holding an Easter Egg Hunt in the Coulterville Park this year, due to a lack of volunteers interested in organizing the event. Last year the same three or four volunteers that have been steadfastly organizing this event, as well as being the backbone of the Holiday Dinner, looked around at all of the empty chairs while stuffing plastic eggs, a task that takes only minutes with ample volunteers, and determined that if new faces did not turn up this year they simply were not going to be able to continue with either this event or the Holiday Dinner later in the year.
At last week’s meeting, we determined to give up on the Hunt, but will give the community one last chance to step up before also cancelling the Holiday Dinner. A meeting to determine the fate of the Holiday dinner has been set for Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Schoolhouse.
Please contact me at (209) 658-0150 if you want to get involved.
