“Republicans’ manager’s amendment only confirms that TrumpCare is broken beyond fixing. The amendment shows Republicans are committed to making tens of millions of American families suffer for the sake of handing even bigger tax giveaways to billionaires.
“Last night, House Republicans all but admitted they cannot fix the crushing costs that TrumpCare’s Age Tax dumps on middle-aged and older Americans. If anything, Republicans have made TrumpCare even more destructive to the Americans who depend on Medicaid. House Republicans are even trying to buy upstate New York Republican votes with a spiteful special provision to force Medicaid cuts or tax increases across the entire state of New York.
“Republicans are trying to put lipstick on a pig. No matter how the Republicans try to dress it up, TrumpCare is a plan to push 24 million people off their health coverage and force Americans to pay more for less health care."
