Every month, Sierra Foothill Charter School staff focuses on one core virtue and works on exploring it thoroughly with students. At the end of the month, there is a school wide assembly to celebrate the virtue and acknowledge the students who are great role models for the behavior being studied. March's core virtue was self-control. Friday, SFCS held a core virtues assembly.
SFCS 0838Congratulations to the students recognized this month for self-control: Panacea Brown, Sayer Harry, Elle Sexton, Mylee Allen, Blake Shaw, Tucker Knauf, Oliviah Collins, Mikey Owens, Emilee Cordero, and (not shown) Tennessee Blagg.

After all students were recognized for the core virtue, Principal Mindy Bolar held the monthly drawing for outstanding behavior. Throughout the month, students receive tickets for outstanding behavior. They can trade the tickets in immediately for a prize from the treasure chest in the office, or they can put them in the jar to take their chances at winning the prize of the month. This month, the prize was art supplies.
SFCS 0844Congratulations to Skylee Butler whose name was drawn whose ticket was drawn.

The assembly was followed by Fun Friday activities.
SFCS 0004Teacher Teena Starchman helps students with art activities during Fun Friday.
SFCS 0011Basketball is always a favorite Fun Friday activity. Here, Gabe Walters and Ronin Yoshida practice their skills.
