April 18, 2017 - Yosemite National Park is pleased to announce two public scoping periods for the following projects: the Bridalveil Fall Area Rehabilitation Project and Wawona Wastewater Treatment System Rehabilitation. 

The park will offer two public scoping meetings with presentations and opportunities to speak with the project team.

The purposes of these projects are:

*Bridalveil Fall Area Rehabilitation Project: improve visitor services including restrooms, improve accessibility for all, reduce crowding on the trails and the viewing platform, improve safety and reduce vehicular/pedestrian conflicts, improve interpretation and wayfinding, and protect natural and cultural resources.

*Wawona Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation: upgrade the plant infrastructure, repair treatment system facilities, and install sewer lines to connect Wawona Campground to the treatment facility.

Both projects will implement actions prescribed in the 2014 Merced Wild and Scenic River Comprehensive Management Plan.

Public scoping meeting: April 26, 2017 Wawona Community Hall 5:30pm to 7:00pm


Bridalveil Fall Rehabilitation Project Environmental Assessment

Public scoping period: April 26 through May 26, 2017

Public Scoping Meeting: May 10, 2017 Yosemite Valley Auditorium 2:30pm to 5:00pm

During these public scoping periods, please share your ideas, concerns, potential issues, and topics to consider in the environmental assessment process via one of the following methods:

*Online through the Planning, Environment, and Public Comment (PEPC) website
at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/bridalveil and http://parkplanning.nps.gov/WWTP.
(This is the preferred method).
