April 24, 2017 - North Fork CA. - The Sierra National Forest (SNF) is proposing to replace an existing toilet building located in the Granite Creek Campground on the Bass Lake Ranger District (BLRD). The existing toilet building is currently not functioning to standard due to deterioration, and is the only toilet facility available for the upper and lower level of the campground. In recognition of how important a role our campgrounds are to the community, county, valley and beyond we consistently work to improve our facilities for the health and safety of our camping visitors.

The Project includes the removal of the existing toilet building and installation of a new toilet building with an increased vault tank capacity. Granite Creek Campground is located off of Granite Creek road. The legal description is Section 31, Township 4 South, Range 24 East. The BLRD will draft an Environmental Assessment (EA) for this Project. Additional project information is available online through our website at: http://www.fs.usda.gov/goto/Sierra/Projects, or at the BLRD office.

This Project is subject to scoping and commenting pursuant to 36 CFR 218, Subpart A and B. Only those who submit timely project-specific written comments during a public comment period are eligible to file an objection. Individuals or representatives of an entity submitting comments must sign the comments or verify identity upon request.
