Sierra Foothill Charter School students in grades transitional kindergarten through second grade enjoyed a field trip to UC Merced's Lakireddy Auditorium on Tuesday, May 16, to see the Children's Opera, "There’s a Martian in the Opera House!" by Nancy Steele Brokaw. The Children's Operas are an annual event at UC Merced Auditorium and a great introduction to opera for children of this age group. Trish Gilger of MYiP made the arrangements for this field trip. After, students enjoyed a picnic lunch and playground at a nearby park.
