Who Is My California State Legislator? California Geocoding Tool To The Rescue

January 7, 2013 - SACRAMENTO – With the California Legislature back in session, the California Technology Agency’s Office of Geographic Information Systems has launched a new geocoding tool to help Californians find their state legislative representatives. Using the California Enterprise Geocoding Service, in partnership with the Legislative Data Center, the site provides the user the ability to locate their legislative representatives based on entering an address.

This tool is part of a larger GIS (Geographic Information Systems) offering provided by the California Technology Agency. The California Enterprise Geocoding Service will enable organizations to quickly and efficiently map geographic data, providing a visual context for government data that has previous not been leveraged. It will be the basis by which much of the State’s rich geographic information will be made available to its constituency.
