Letter to the Editor - Thank God for Mariposa!
Thank God for Mariposa! My wonderful husband Robert Kirkland passed away on Jan. 27, 2012 after a sudden onset of a very aggressive form of bone marrow cancer. My wonderful friends in Mariposa came to my aid during his hospitalization. Chase's Foothill Petroleum made sure I had fuel for the trips to Fresno and assured me they were there for my needs! THANK YOU!!
John C Fremont Hospital ER staff, God bless you for transporting Bob to the VA Hospital in Fresno...I just couldn't drive anymore that night on the 15th of January. Everyone I know in town has offered assistance with food supplies, money needs, you name it! My friends and neighbors are surprising me with fire wood, driving me around until I get back to normal function and bringing me delicious meals! (I am exhausted!) Thank you Don and Viola, Brent and Mona, Ralph and Joanne, Rand, and all my other special people here in Hunters Valley...I feel so much love and caring from this town I can't even believe what is happening! If all towns were like this beautiful place there would be no evil in the world! Again, may God protect and bless all the wonderful people in Mariposa, Ca. and Hunters Valley!!!
