2011 Mariposa Martial Arts Academy Turkey Brigade

This year the Mariposa Martial Arts Academy held their annual Turkey Brigade on Wednesday, November 23, 2011.

During the Turkey Brigade the students of the Mariposa Martial Arts Academy pack dinner boxes for needy families in the community with a full Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner which includes everything from the turkey to Pumpkin pie for dessert. The money to purchase the goods was raised mostly by the Kick-A-Thon. The Kick-A-Thon is an annual event held at the academy where the local residents pledge money for each of the kicks that the students perform during the Kick-A-Thon. This year 32,346 kicks were performed by the participating students.
