Golden Lakes Charter School Meeting formerly the Save Our Schools committee.
Meeting March 12, 2010 time of meeting is at:  5:00 P.M., at DPHS Multipurpose room, food and refreshments  available.

Questions and comments will be answered by Mr. Jerry Simmons, Attorney at Law, from the Law offices of Middleton Young, and Minney, the best and most successful Law firm, at Charter School matters in California.  A California Charter Association representative, the second part of the professionals necessary to put into place our Charter School System.

The name of our Charter School will be Golden Lakes Charter School. Other names considered were rejected due to being used already and were too similar to others.

We need to raise about $30,000.00 to bring our Dual Charter conversion, it is costly but must be done correctly the first time around. If every property owner contributed around  $8.00  the cost would be covered. If every home owner would contribute $16.00 our financial concern would be over.. This is a very small investment to maintain and increase the value of your property.
Please send your contributions to Golden Lakes Charter School,  P.O. Box 34, La Grange, CA 95329

According to our experts we can have in place by September our own Charter School. This will require a tremendous amount of work, effort and support. If you wish to help please contact: Dwight Mueller at 209-852-0232
Once in place, there is no limit to the educational options which we will be able to provide.

Our Charter School, will be able to provide a number of industrial art programs, excellent preparation for entry into college, and sports with only one exception  (full contact football).
Regarding football, we have been informed if you want a football stadium, once your Charter School is up and running, build it, as done many times before.

We want to thank everyone who attended the February 20th Community meeting.

I hope that the people in the Don Pedro, La Grange, Coulterville, Greeley Hill area really make the effort to contribute to getting this school up and running. Our children depend on us to provide for them and this is a “GOLDEN” opportunity to do just that. An $8.00 investment is not a lot to ask. Some people might spend that on a hamburger that goes in one end and out the other. Please if you can, support this school. Thank you.
