“It's 4:30 in the morning, and there in the dark, my dad is standing at the foot of my bed. ‘Hey, kid, wake up,’ he says. ‘Get dressed. We're going out for breakfast.’ So begins a typical BZ Smith storytelling adventure, a personal story about growing up with a dad, who was an avid pilot, and taught his kids to love the skies.  BZ will be a featured teller at the Mariposa Storytelling Night. Ukulele artist Peg Reza will add musical color to BZ’s stories.

Joining BZ and Peg are internationally acclaimed storyteller, Native American Dovie Thomason, returning for the fourth time to our town. Mariposa’s own Angela Heiss completes the lineup.

Fliers containing the Story Slam! Rules, and Mariposa Storytelling Night information can be seen below, and on the SIG’s Facebook page.
