February 8, 2020 - Community preparations are underway for the famous delicious 71st Annual Hornitos Enchilada Dinner to be held in Historic Hornitos, on Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 3:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the Golden Stag Hall. Featured are the famous Enchiladas or delicious Chicken Pie with Cole Slaw, Beans, Salsa, Garlic Bread, Beverage, and Dessert.
Enjoy a leisurely drive through the beautiful foothills, visit the local establishments, and experience the rich history and atmosphere of the historic town and taste the delicious dinner prepared by the Hornitos Patrons Club members, community residents and friends
Join us to celebrate our 71st year. Vendors will present their local handmade crafts in the park, while entertainment by DJ Mark Carpenter, plus local musicians (starting at 3:30 P.M.) goes on in the Plaza. Including once again our Mariposa vendors presenting their local hand made crafts
Sponsored by the Hornitos Patrons Club, members are responsible for numerous projects and activities in Hornitos and Mariposa County. Monies are donated to the Cancer Walk, Salvation Army, Manna House, Mariposa High School Scholarships, Medical Emergency Kit for Hornitos, new roof new paint and carpeting inside St. Catherine’s Church including weed abatement of the cemetery, a roof on Hornitos School House, Fire Victims donations, Back-to-School Party including supplies and backpacks for our community children, Hornitos Public Telephone, Grad Night donations, donation to children aging out of foster care, plus donations to the 4-H field of service, FFA youth programs, and preservation of history in the town of Hornitos with plaques and maps.
The club also hosts the 34th Annual Flea Market on Sunday, October 4, 2020 (always the first Sunday in October) and All Soul’s Day Candle Lighting ceremony on Monday, November 2, 2020 (always on November 2nd).
