June 5, 2021 - The Mariposa Butterfly Festival committee announced Wednesday morning that over 140 tickets to the Taste of Mariposa have been sold thus far for the June 26, 2021, event. Tickets are still available online at MariposaButterflyFestival.net, The Visitors center and Ridgeline Gallery and Gift in Downtown.
It will be a garden party atmosphere when the doors open at 5:00 P.M. at the Amigo Park area of the Mariposa County Fairgrounds. the Ukuladies and Gents will provide the background music as people take advantage of the full bar offering a complementary glass of beer, wine or soda for ticket holders. A photobooth will be nearby for guests to capture the moment and UPS Sue and Her Dancing Crew will teach all to line dance. Raffles and silent auctions will highlight the evening and the premier of the documentary, “Ranchers and Packers” featuring Bob Barrett sharing stories of Mariposa’s past will be the big entertainment show on the Giant 21-foot video wall.
The evening crescendos with the Giant auction featuring a new king size quilt designed and made here in Mariposa, 9 x 10 room rugs, FFA one of a kind furniture, virtual reality glasses and much, much more to bid on.
“We always strive to make the Taste of Mariposa unique and the best event better. A night to remember!” Says Kimberly Vaughan, creative director of the Mariposa Butterfly Festival. “People will be pleasantly shocked at what we have put together for this upcoming Taste of Mariposa.”
The fundraising dinner includes prime rib and the always favorite appetizers and desserts from the Mariposa’s local restaurants.
Tickets are $45. There is no credit card charge for tickets purchased online at MariposaButterflyFestival.net. Tickets are also available at The Mariposa Visitor Center and Ridgeline Gallery and Gift in Downtown. All proceeds go to the production of the Mariposa Butterfly Festival the following week.
