Tickets Now Available for the Black & White Ball 

September 25, 2026 - The John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation invites you to a premier Mariposa fundraising event: the Black and White Ball. It’s taking place on Saturday, November 7, at the Fairgrounds, Building A, starting at 4:00 P.M.

“Our black and gold masquerade theme will enhance an unforgettable evening of glamour, generosity, and celebration,” said the Foundation’s Executive Administrator Miranda Wass. “It is a chance for our community to come together, celebrate, and support the future of local healthcare.”

The evening includes amazing appetizers and dinner from Chef Dawn Pliche of Willow Creek Catering, and dancing led by a live DJ creating a stylish atmosphere throughout the evening.

Adding to the excitement, professional auctioneer Grayson Haydn-Myer will lead the live auction with charm, humor, and high energy, making the auction experience both entertaining and engaging.

Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in silent and live auctions, along with a festive 50/50 raffle that gives one lucky winner the chance to leave with money in their pocket.

All proceeds from the Black and White Ball directly benefit the Healthcare District’s programs and services, such as the hospital, and outpatient services, as well as scholarships and community health programs in our surrounding rural areas.

In 2025, the Black and White Ball raised close to $40,000. Funds were used to support critical equipment purchases, including a state-of-the-art ventilator, two IV pumps, and a patient bed, all for the benefit of hospital patients.

“The Healthcare District has a number of needs,” Bernikoff continued, “but this year, we will be focusing on raising funds for a BiPAP machine with high flow oxygen capability. It will be extremely valuable to have this medical device at the hospital as an alternative, when appropriate, to the much more invasive procedure of intubation.”

A BiPAP machine (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure) is a non-invasive medical device that assists with breathing by delivering pressurized air through a mask. Unlike standard CPAP machines that provide one continuous level of pressure, a BiPAP machine utilizes two distinct pressure levels to significantly reduce the effort required to breathe.
