June 18, 2021 - Medford, OR - The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department can announce a second arrest in the murder of 16-year-old Evan Robinson on May 2, 2021 in Keyes.  

user67346 1624031551 media1Anthony Joseph Pando, 22, of Ceres was taken into custody at 2:55 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, in Medford, Oregon during the course of a traffic stop.  He was wanted on a Stanislaus County homicide warrant at the time.

Pando’s arrest marks the second person to be taken into custody in as many days for the shooting which happened near taco trucks at Martha Avenue and 7th Street in Keyes.  He now awaits extradition back to California, where he will be booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center and then arraigned at the Superior Courthouse.

No further details are available from Medford authorities regarding the circumstances of the traffic stop and warrant arrest.  This is still an active and ongoing investigation.
