February 26, 2023 - Riverside County Sheriff’s Office official reported that on February 24, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., the Lake Elsinore Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the 20000 block of Van Buren Avenue in the city of Riverside. The driver was identified as Larry Delgado, a 38-year-old resident of Riverside. Delgado was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics and weapons. Delgado was arrested and booked into Robert Presley Detention Center on multiple weapons chargers and narcotic sales.

A search warrant was authored and served at Delgado’s residence in the 8600 block of Merrick Street in the city of Riverside. During the search warrant, SET deputies located 31 additional weapons, which included illegal assault rifles and un-serialized firearms. Additionally, deputies found several thousand rounds of ammunition, a suppressor, explosive-making materials, and a stolen rifle. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Hazardous Device Team responded to the location and took possession of the explosive materials. This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Investigator Leone at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station at (951) 245–3300.
