March 9, 2023 - Placer County Sheriff's Office officials report that it might not be the wisest idea to park in front of the Placer County Superior Courthouse, just feet away from the South Placer Jail, while you’re in possession of illegal drugs.
On March 3rd, a citizen reported to bailiffs at the court that there were two suspicious subjects in a vehicle outside the courthouse. Bailiffs responded to the vehicle and called patrol deputies. When patrol deputies arrived, they began speaking with the driver and the passenger. A search of the driver revealed two plastic baggies containing suspected fentanyl. A search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed a toiletry bag containing additional suspected fentanyl and related paraphernalia. Both the driver, 32-year-old Joseph Duran of Roseville, and the passenger, 25-year-old Jenna Frank of Rocklin, face charges of possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
