April 9, 2023 - San Bernardino Police Department officials reported that recently, members of the SBPD Narcotics unit seized 20,000 rainbow Fentanyl pills during a traffic stop. According to DEA Administrator Anne Milgram, “Rainbow fentanyl—fentanyl pills come in a variety of bright colors, shapes, and sizes—is a deliberate effort by drug traffickers to drive addiction amongst kids and young adults.”
Drug dealers attempt to conceal and entice our youth to take this dangerous drug by making it look like candy. So, we packaged candy and snacks such as Nerds, Sweet Tarts, Rainbow Goldfish, Cereal, and Skittles to show our public how hard it is to tell the difference. The most recent rainbow fentanyl seizure by our officers had enough lethal doses to kill every child in San Bernardino City Schools. Please help us protect the children in our community by talking to them about the dangers of drug use.
