April 27, 2023 - Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on April 25, 2023, approximately 7:00 a.m. the Riverside County Sheriff’s Thermal Station’s riverside county sheriff logoCoachella Community Action Team, with the assistance of Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District Team, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team, and the Riverside County Post Release Accountability and Compliance Team, participated in a Quality-of-Life operation within the City of Coachella. The mission was to conduct a proactive patrol of high criminal activity areas and apprehend subjects with active warrants or who were determined to have committed a criminal offense. This was a zero-tolerance event. All subjects found to be in violation of a criminal offense or wanted on an active warrant were booked at the John Benoit Detention Center. In total, 11 subjects were arrested for various offenses, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of mushrooms, possession of drug paraphernalia, 2 violations of felony probation, 22 misdemeanor warrants and 3 infraction citations.

  • Rufino Cruz Herrera, 44 of Coachella
  • Julio Cesar Ramirez, 38 of Coachella
  • Gary Lee Cozad, 34 of Winsor
  • Jennifer Evans, 45 of Coachella
  • Ramiro Ramirez, 42 of Coachella
