May 4, 2023 – San Bernardino County Sheriff Department officials report that on May 3, 2023, the female victim, 17-year-old Yzabella Perez, was pronounced San Bernardino County Sheriff logodeceased at the hospital. Investigators with Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail have assumed the investigation. No arrests have been made, at this time.

Original Summary: On Saturday, April 29, 2023, at approximately 11:28 p.m., an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old female were parked in the 34000 block of Princeton Drive, south of Campus Way. While the victims sat in their vehicle, unknown suspect(s) approached and discharged a firearm at their vehicle. Both victims were struck and taken to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries.   

The suspect(s) fled the scene and were not located. This appears to be an isolated incident and there appears to be no immediate danger to the public.
