December 19, 2023 - Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that they want to extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has shown support and concern for Deputy Castaneda and his K9 partner “Danny”.
On Saturday night, while on duty, they were involved in a car accident that could have ended much worse. The patrol vehicle collided with another car that pushed them off a rocky cliff on the PCH near Neptune’s Net. We are grateful that both Deputy Castaneda and “Danny” walked away with just minor injuries.
We are happy to report the two are now recovering at home and looking forward to getting back to work soon. Thank you again for showing them much love.
