Half Pound of Meth
January 11, 2024 - San Bernardino Police Department officials report that uniformed officers attempted a traffic stop near 14th Street and Massachusetts Avenue where the driver failed to yield, leading to a high-speed pursuit. The driver was seen throwing items out of the vehicle during the pursuit. He eventually crashed and fled on foot, as did his female passenger. Both were apprehended by officers. They were found to have been in possession of methamphetamine and over $2,000.
Afterward, officers investigated the items thrown from the vehicle, which would come to include large quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and ammunition. The driver was arrested on multiple felony charges and the passenger was arrested on outstanding warrants.
