Update Per Los Angeles Police Department: Per Olympic detectives, on 2/28/2024 around 11:40 a.m., the suspect was taken into custody near the area of Magnolia Boulevard and Tujunga Avenue. The investigation is still ongoing.

Community Alert Notification 

February 26, 2024 - Los Angeles Police Department officials report that a suspect (stranger) forcefully grabbed four-year-old victim from behind without consent and carried him outside of the store. Suspect put the child down when confronted by child's parent. Suspect fled location on foot. The attempted kidnapping took place at 620 S. Virgil Ave., Suite 100 on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 12:40 P.M. .

Suspect is a Black female with black hair and black eyes. She is 5' 05' and 150 lbs. approx. age 40 years old. Wearing a brown jacket, black shirt, blue jeans, and black and white shoes.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation or the identification of the suspect is urged to call LAPD or Crime Stoppers.
