Orange County Theft

March 1, 2024 - Orange County Sheriff's Department officials report that late last Saturday, Special Enforcement Team (SET) deputies in Lake Forest couldn’t help but notice two individuals who were running towards their parked car on Rockfield Blvd. while carrying large hampers.

Finding this behavior suspicious, the deputies decided to investigate and noticed theft device alarms ringing which prompted them to initiate a car stop.

Upon conducting a thorough search of the vehicle, the SET deputies were able to recover more than $4,000 worth of stolen goods belonging to the local Ross store.

In total, three suspects - one from Arizona and two from San Diego County – were taken into custody on charges of Organized Retail Theft and Conspiracy to Commit Crime.
