March 14, 2024 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that some great news to report for the San Diego Sheriff Regional Crime Laboratory. Thanks to Representative Mike Levin's efforts, $760,000 has been secured to fund the state-of-the-art work being done at the Sheriff's Crime Lab such as forensic biology/DNA technology for investigative genetic genealogy (IGG).

This is used to solve cold cases at the Sheriff's Homicide Unit. We thank Congressman Levin for his support of public safety.
