Narcotics and Firearm Arrest 

March 15, 2024 - Ventura County Sheriff’s Office officials report that during the month of March 2024, detectives from the Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) began an investigation into (S) Kari Picarelli. 

On March 5, 2024, DEU detectives contacted and arrested Kari Picarelli. A search of her residence was conducted per her court ordered conditions.  As a result of the investigation, detectives seized controlled substances, narcotics sales related indicia and a handgun with ammunition. 

Picarelli was booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for the following charges:

HS 11378 – Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance

HS 11350 – Possession of a Controlled Substance

HS 11550(a) – Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance

PC 29825(b) – Possession of Firearm Against Court Order
