Train Collision in San Diego 

May 6, 2024 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that an investigation is underway after a non-fatal train collision occurred at the intersection of Taylor Street and Pacific Coast Highway, in the city of San Diego.

The train collision occurred at approximately 10:10 a.m., near mile post marker 254.25, on North County Transit District train tracks. San Diego Police and fire personnel responded to the scene. The subject did not sustain injuries and declined medical attention.

The Sheriff's Transit Enforcement Unit (TEU) investigates incidents that occur along the routes of the North County Transit District, which AMTRAK uses.  San Diego Sheriff's Department TEU responded to the scene to conduct an investigation.
