May 30, 2024 - Riverside County Sheriff's Department officials report on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the Southwest Sheriff Station conducted a registered sex riverside county sheriff logooffender parole/probation compliance check at numerous residences in Southwest Riverside County. The operation encompassed personnel from the Southwest Sheriff Station, Riverside County District Attorney Child Exploitation Team and their K9 Chewie. Three sex offenders were found in violation of their court-ordered probation terms and were arrested for the violations. The individuals listed below were booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center.

  1. Joseph Hernandez, a 20-year-old from French Valley

  2. Scott Miller, 41-year-old from Temecula

  3. Matthew Lopez, 39-year-old from French Valley

The Southwest Sheriff Station aggressively pursues prosecution of those sex registrants who fail to comply with their registration requirements and probation/parole terms. The Southwest Sheriff Station will conduct similar compliance operations to verify that registered offenders live at their reported residences and comply with all probation or parole terms.
