Vandalism/Arson Investigation 

July 6, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11:02 p.m., Lake Elsinore Sheriff riverside county sheriff logoStation’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) responded to a residence in the 33000 block of Hillcrest Court in the city of Wildomar regarding a vandalism investigation. The victim reported that a male and female, both adults, were observed on surveillance footage spray-painting a large section of his property’s perimeter brick wall. One of the suspects was also combining gasoline with the contents of the spray-paint canister to create large explosions and flames. The suspects caused an estimated $1,200 in damages.

During the investigation, SET deputies identified 20-year-old Devin Rodriguez and 18-year-old Jazmine Carrillo, both residents of Wildomar, as the suspects. Rodriguez and Carrillo were arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in violation of felony vandalism and Rodriguez with an additional charge of arson.
