August 21, 2024 - San Bernardino County Sheriff Department officials report on Monday, August 19, 2024, at approximately 6:48 a.m., Hesperia Station deputies responded to a suspicious San Bernardino County Sheriff logocircumstances call in a dirt field southeast of Sultana Street and Escondido Avenue. Upon arriving, deputies located Aaron Neal deceased with obvious signs of trauma.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation. During the investigation it was discovered Neal had been shot with a firearm. Demetrial Tyler and Elaina Norman, who were known to Neal, were determined to be the suspects responsible for Neal’s death.

During the service of a search warrant at Tyler’s home, Tyler and Norman were taken into custody without incident. They were booked into custody at High Desert Detention Center for PC 187 – Murder.
