Homicide 

August 30, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on August 28, 2024, at about 10:34 p.m., deputies assigned to the Thermal Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to multiple reports of shots being fired in the 84900 block of Calle Rojo, Coachella. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes and located an 18-year-old male, later identified as Isaac Gonzalez of Coachella, in the roadway, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Deputies began to render medical aid and requested medical personnel; however, Gonzalez was pronounced deceased at the scene. The scene was secured, and the Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
