August 30, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report Thermal Sheriff’s Station deputies received information that assisted in identifying the suspect
in this case as Linnell Letice Wilson, a 21-year-old resident of Palm Desert.
On Sunday, August 28, 2024, Wilson was located and taken into custody near the 73000 block of Country Club Drive in Palm Desert. During the investigation, it was determined Wilson was released from prison approximately one month prior to this incident after serving 11 months of a 30-month sentence.
Wilson has a violent criminal history with felony convictions for robbery, carjacking, and weapons charges.
Wilson was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for multiple felony sexual assault chargers and robbery.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone who provided information that assisted deputies with identifying Wilson and taking him into custody.
