Traffic Collision in Solana Beach 

September 1, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a collision involving an off-road motorcycle and an SUV in Solana Beach is under investigation.

It happened on Friday, August 30, just after 5:30 p.m. Deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff's Station responded to a report of a collision involving a dirt bike and an SUV at the intersection of Lomas Santa Fe Drive and the southbound entrance to Interstate 5.

A preliminary investigation shows a 17-year-old was riding a dirt bike and collided with a Volvo SUV driven by a woman.  The teenage boy was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
