Felony Domestic Violence Suspect Found Hiding in an Orchard
October 3, 2024 – Placer County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on July 21st, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m. we received a domestic violence call. The suspect was last seen running toward the back of the property just west of Lincoln near Nelson Lane and Moore Road. As deputies arrived, they learned the suspect had a $700,000 felony warrant. They also learned the suspect was Spanish speaking and were able to use a language line to make announcements. The search included several outbuildings, broken down cars and boats. K9 Axel (who is trained in tracking) managed to pick up the suspect’s scent in an Orchard behind the property and led deputies to his location. He was found sleeping between some trees and taken into custody without incident.
This is a great example of the excellent work our deputies do every day. They worked through a language barrier, a large dark property and ultimately arrested the suspect without incident.
