Bicycle Collision in Del Mar 

October 13, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a man is dead after a bicycle collision in Del Mar. 

It happened on Saturday, October 12, just after 10:00 a.m., in the 1900 block of Jimmy Durante Boulevard.

When deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff's Station arrived on the scene, they found an approximately 60-year-old man with serious injuries lying on the ground. Based on a preliminary investigation, deputies say the man lost control of his bicycle and crashed. At this time, it appears no other vehicles were involved in the collision.

Deputies and paramedics immediately attempted life-saving measures on the man. He was transported via ambulance to a hospital, where he later died.
