November 25, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 7:13 a.m.,
while conducting proactive policing, a deputy from the Colorado River Sheriff’s Station observed possible criminal activity in the 2200 block of E Donlon Street in the city of Blythe and contacted a subject identified as Alejandro Rojas Rodriguez (pictured), a 51-year-old resident of Yuma, Arizona.
During the contact with Rodriguez, he was found in possession of a loaded firearm and approximately 220 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Rodriguez is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.
Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm, a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of narcotics for sales, transportation of narcotics for sales, and possession of narcotics while armed with a firearm.
