Armed Robbery and Pursuit 

December 13, 2024 – Ventura County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on December 11, 2024, at 2:54 A.M., deputies from the Ojai Patrol Station responded to 11408 North Ventura Ave. (Circle K Gas Station) reference a robbery that had just occurred at the location.

A lone male suspect, identified as Fidencio Ramirez, stole cigarettes and alcohol from the location. Ramirez brandished a knife towards a Circle K employee before leaving the store and fleeing in a vehicle. Video surveillance later confirmed Ramirez was the suspect who committed the robbery.

Sheriff’s Dispatch put out a description of Ramirez and his vehicle shortly after the crime occurred. Deputies located Ramirez driving his vehicle in the area of Circle K and attempted to perform a traffic stop. Ramirez did not stop his vehicle, and a pursuit took place. Ramirez was apprehended shortly after the pursuit began. No injuries were sustained by Ramirez or the deputies involved. The stolen merchandise from Circle K was located inside Ramirez’ vehicle.

Ramirez was placed under arrest for PC 211-Robbery, and VC 2800.2-Recklessly evading police, and PC 3056-Parole Hold. Ramirez was transported to the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with a total bail set at $100,000.
