Pursuit Ends in Multiple Arrests
December 18, 2024 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that on December 16, 2024, Jordan Corrales, Alfonso
Corrales, and Michael Gomez were arrested after leading deputies in a vehicle pursuit from Camarillo to Oxnard.
On December 16, 2024, detectives from Headquarters Investigations began an investigation into a known parolee, Jordan Corrales, after deputies from the Headquarters Patrol Station responded to a home invasion style burglary in the unincorporated area of Oxnard, known as Hollywood Beach, in the early morning hours of December 16, 2024. Responding deputies located Corrales driving away from the area and a vehicle pursuit ensued. Due to Corrales’ erratic driving and willful disregard for members of the public, the pursuit was terminated. Deputies assigned to the Headquarters Patrol Station continued the investigation and with assistance from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Adult Parole Unit, located Jordan Corrales in the Camarillo area several hours later.
Deputies from the Camarillo Patrol Station responded to the location and observed Jordan Corrales, Alfonso Corrales, and Michael Gomez driving in a vehicle. The deputies attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop on the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Jordan Corrales, refused to stop and began a second vehicle pursuit. The pursuit continued from Camarillo to Oxnard. The Sheriff’s Air Unit assisted in the pursuit using Copter 3. Officers from the Oxnard Police Department also joined the pursuit to assist when the pursuit entered the City of Oxnard.
The vehicle pursuit terminated when the vehicle stopped in the area of Escalon Drive and Outsail Place. Jordan Corrales, Alfonso Corrales, and Michael Gomez fled from the vehicle on foot and were apprehended by deputies after a short foot pursuit through the residential area.
Jordan Corrales was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for evading, burglary, and a Parole violation and is being held on a $500,000.00 bond. Alfonso Corrales was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for resisting arrest, carrying a concealed dagger, prowling, and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and is being held on a $25,000.00 bond. Michael Gomez was arrested and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for resisting arrest and conspiracy to commit a crime. He was later released after posting a $40,000.00 bond.
Jordan Corrales and Alfonso Corrales are scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on December 18, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
