Stalking and Kidnapping Suspect Arrested
December 20, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on November 27, 2024, the Riverside
Sheriff’s Hemet Station received information of an adult female being stalked by a suspect identified as Alexander Vanny. The Riverside Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit launched an investigation into the new allegations and found evidence that Vanny committed additional felony offenses. Vanny was taken into custody on December 19, 2024, and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for kidnapping, stalking, and other felony charges.
This investigation is ongoing, and no further details will be released. Anyone with information regarding the details of this case is encouraged to contact Lead Investigator Katherine Bermudez of the Special Victims Unit at 951-955-1706.
