Rampart Detectives Seeking Help to Identify Stabbing Suspect
January 30, 2025 – Rampart, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Rampart Division detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a stabbing.
On January 18, 2025, around 12:00 p.m., Rampart Division officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Santa Monica Boulevard and Edgemont Street. Upon their arrival, officers located a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The ensuing investigation revealed that the victim was walking with two other people when the suspect approached her from behind and stabbed her twice and then fled east on Santa Monica Boulevard to the Vermont/Santa Monica MTA Station.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5’6” tall and weighing 180 pounds.
Detectives are releasing an image of the suspect in hopes of the public’s assistance in identifying him.
