Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Hit-and-Run 

February 12, 2025 – Tarzana, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Valley Traffic Detectives (VTD) are investigating a felony hit-and-run traffic collision that left a man in his 60’s in critical condition.

On February 11, 2025, around 9:25 a.m., a felony hit-and-run traffic collision occurred on Reseda Boulevard and Clark Street. A black Ford F-150 pick-up truck was traveling southbound Reseda Boulevard when it negotiated a left turn onto Clark Street and struck a pedestrian in the marked crosswalk. The driver of the Ford F-150 initially stopped, exited his vehicle and went to where the victim was lying on the street. The driver then returned to his vehicle and fled from the scene eastbound on Clark Street, failing to identify himself or render aid as required by law.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male pedestrian to a local hospital in critical condition. His name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The driver of the vehicle (seen above) is described as a male wearing a baseball hat, blue jacket, and dark colored pants.

VTD Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward with any information regarding this felony hit-and-run.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
