Suspect Arrested in Organized Retail Crime Spree
February 16, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 7, 2024, the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s
Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) launched an investigation into organized retail crime occurring at multiple businesses in the city of Moreno Valley. The thefts accounted for over $22,000 in stolen goods from these establishments. During the course of the investigation, two of the involved suspects were identified as 47-year-old Jesus Miguel Robles and 35-year-old Maclean Andrew Short, both residents of Moreno Valley.
On February 12, 2025, deputies executed search warrants at several locations within the city of Moreno Valley. Among the locations searched was Robles’ residence in the 2500 block of Silent Creek Road. During the search, authorities recovered stolen goods, including high-end sunglasses, electric scooters, and various other items linked to the organized theft ring.
Robles and Short were arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for burglary, grand theft, and organized retail theft. Additionally, Short faces charges for a probation violation.
