Fatal Traffic Collision 

February 19, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on February 18, 2025, at 12:57 a.m., deputies assigned to the Riverside Sheriff's Lake Elsinore Station responded to a major injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian at Riverside Drive, west of Baker Street, Lake Elsinore. Deputies located the pedestrian in the roadway and pronounced them deceased at the scene. The driver that struck the pedestrian fled the location and is still being sought. The Lake Elsinore Station's Traffic Unit assumed the investigation and believe a dark-colored vehicle may be involved in this collision. The pedestrian's name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
