Suspect Arrested for Weapons and Narcotics Violations
February 21, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on February 18, 2025, at 6:16 p.m., the Lake
Elsinore Sheriff’s Station’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) received reports of a suspicious person in the 31600 block of Railroad Canyon, Canyon Lake. Deputies arrived in the area and located a subject matching the description sitting inside of a parked vehicle. Deputies contacted the subject and could see narcotics paraphernalia and suspected fentanyl inside of the vehicle. During the investigation, deputies also located two firearms that were reported to be stolen from the Lake Matthews area.
The suspect was identified as Christian Zaragoza, a 25-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore. Zaragoza was transported to the Cois Byrd Detention Center and booked on numerous felony charges related to firearms and narcotics.
