Fatal Traffic Collision 

February 25, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on February 23, 2025, at 9:57 a.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the area of Diamond Drive and Malaga Road in the city of Lake Elsinore regarding a major injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian. When deputies arrived, they located the subject, who had been struck by a vehicle in the parking lot. The subject sustained significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The Lake Elsinore Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Alcohol and drugs are not a factor in the collision. This investigation is ongoing.
